HAPPY VALENTINES FROM NYC FASHION WEEK

We are counting down until our first runway show tomorrow evening, here in NYC!! Here is a little behind the scenes footage of our printing production using sunlight activating Lumi ink!

Printing with light is hitting big fashion! Lumi Co. has teamed up with Junk Food Art House to debut their solar-powered Inkodyes on a collection of t-shirts at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. The runway show "Money Can't Buy Happiness," inspired by Hasbro's MONOPOLY, will feature apparel printed entirely with sunlight using Inkodye.

The DIY nature of Lumi's printing technology brought out the child in everyone at Junk Food Clothing - creative director Mike Palermo, artist Aaron Rose and their team all came out to play in the sun! And this solar-powered dye requires no electricity or special machinery to develop its color. Because Inkodye adheres to the garment's fibers instead of laying on top, there is no residue or texture left behind and the fabric feels as comfy and natural as a fresh cotton tee.

The highly anticipated Grand Finale show will be held at the Met Pavillion on Wednesday, February 15th at 7pm. See you on the runway!
